As we move into the holiday season, we are constantly bombarded with advertisements, slogans and deals to be had. It can be easy to lose track of the purpose for these days and become overwhelmed by it all. I encourage you to take a moment this week and remember what and why we are celebrating.
In Psalm 100:4 it says, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” We as a culture have an entire day set aside for us to focus on being thankful for what we have. Let’s remember to be thankful for what really matters, like our family, our friends and our salvation through Jesus Christ. We have the freedom to worship the Lord as we desire. Let us each celebrate this unique and special occasion with love in our hearts and thankfulness in our spirits.
